The 6 Functions of a Highly Effective Team

This highly interactive workshop presents six definitive strategies to building and managing successful teams. Distilled from Patrick Lencioni’s, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, this presentation introduces the sixth and foundational level of “Team Values.” This workshop is appropriate for newly formed teams and can unite established teams that are struggling with performance.

Team participants can complete a Six Functions and Birkman Method Assessments prior to the workshop and receive feedback that identifies team dynamics and opportunities for functional change. Since the second foundation of any functional team is trust, this workshop incorporates team oriented, trust building, exercises and discussion that will get everyone moving and involved.

In addition to laying a foundation for a highly functioning team, this workshop will present actionable steps for continued implementation of effective change, actionable steps for maintaining a high level of function, and strategies for the organizational succession of a highly functional team.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Establish organizational values and covenant
  2. Identify specific dysfunctions existing within a team
  3. How a lack of team/organizational trust effects results
  4. Identify specific issues of trust within the team
  5. The need for healthy conflict and how to engage, not disengage
  6. How trust and healthy conflict improve team commitment, accountability and results
